Doesn’t @keith1962 have the Axi2050s? See where he is crossing them.

Yep, Axi2050 here.
I have it crossed at around 375 to 400Hz but have used it down to around 320 with no noticeable difference.
Upper crossover is anywhere between 3.5k and 8k which I am still playing around with.
Those points came about following an email discussion with Bjorn Kolbrek who was involved in its development and the development of the horn that Celestion sell to complement it.
I used it without a driver above it at first and it runs out of steam at about14k from what I remember. BK was still using it like that when I discussed it with him about 12 months ago but he was going to experiment with tweeters when he got round to it! He felt for pro sound use it was fine without but for home audio use a tweeter above it would be better from around 8k at highest point.
I tried it at 3.5k crossing to a Faital Pro HF10AK because John Kalinowski in the US was using the exact same drivers and using 1st order xo at that point and was very pleased with it. Still playing about with all points 3.5 to 8k to see what I prefer.

Yes I’m not sure where I will cross to the Raal, but that’s something I can play around with.

That’s all great info thank you

Anyone tried the K231 crossover?

You plug in cards to change the frequency points so not as easy to fiddle with.

I’d need 2, no room mode control or time aligning.
Does it do gain levels of each driver?

I think that could make sense if you were desperate to avoid digital. Not sure it does otherwise.

Gain and crossover point only it seems, just came across it reading about DSPs, didn’t know if it was a good thing or not.

Back on the Najda vs miniDSP thing.
More appropriate here than in SOYS thread.

Most of us didn’t do anything to the Najda DACs, broadly accepting that it’s the good implementation, rather than minor spec differences, that make or break.
The low hanging fruit however was the Op amps. Most of us went Burson…
These you could really hear upping things.

So I think there might be more to it than you’d think, across the entire solution.
Trouble is, do you take a pimped Najda vs boggo miniDSP or?

I’ve read some think miniDSP is great. Other meh?!

Proof of!

Yep, that’s the only solution. Buy every option in every possible level of modification and try them back to back :sob:
