Doggos

Hope he’s ok JB, I didn’t know seizures were a side effect. ( sure it wasn’t the fleas and ticks jumping off that made it look like a fit ). Give him a cuddle and a treat.

It’s known to cause seizures in some dogs according to the vet  Anyway he’s fine thanks :+1:

Jesus! Scary stuff. Glad he’s OK! Most parasite treatments warn of possible seizures, but you never actually expect to see it :worried:

Good to hear he’s ok, John. You must have been terrified.

I give ours their monthly dose. They used to hate having it applied, but since I changed products they don’t mind at all.

Lovely looking dog you’ve got there.

He looks a good’un Gregg.

Did you ever find out about your cat?

Thanks for asking. No. He never returned, nor do we know anything about what may have happened.

We were told, and saw, that he was a very nervous dog. We worked with him for 4 days, before being accepted. After a 4 hour car journey, he was brilliant, and he is settling beautifully. He just needed to get out of the kennels.

Looks like a lovely doggo Gregg - thought of a name for him yet?

My 2 are proper collies, both farm dogs - Basil’s Dad is the Oswesrtry trials champion and his Granddad, Cap, came 3rd in “One man and his dog” on Countryfile in 2014.

Here’s Cap. YouTube

We planned to train Barley as a mountain rescue dog. They need a few main traits. Fantastic sense of smell, he’s got that. Ability to learn to bark in different ways to show different situations, great at that. Unlimited energy, no worries there.

Unfortunately, he won’t go away from me if it’s dark, doesn’t like rain, snow or cold and wont go near thistles or nettles. He’s also scared stiff of sheep.

So he’s our wimp.

Basil is a natural with sheep but I’ve trained him from a pup to leave the woolly hazards alone. A few farmer friends have tried to steal him.

On the positive side they are both brilliant with other dogs so are up for the Dogfest.
