Still good, although there is a better one down the road near Norlands lane, probably owned by the same people,a huge selection of food.
Good to know, I used to live in Hough Green when I was married to Mrs 998 Mk1, so it was my chippy of choice.
Still trying to process what the change of name from The Black Horse is trying to achieve, especially as the other Black Horse at the Farnworth roundabout has been Pesto for years now.
I think the ‘old’ BH got a poor name towards the end after a change of management and went down hill pretty fast, poor food, poor service etc.
My Mum lived in Hough Green (Lynton Crescent) for 25 years before she passed. Small world etc…
Acquired a stray who was wandering about on the roads near here. No collar and the vet is closed due to bank holiday so we’ve probably got her overnight.
Is there a local Facebook page or something where you can ask if anyone is missing her?
Looks like a Beagle but can’t tell from the photo how big the hound is?
Its hunting season so maybe a pack dog that got lost? Has it got a tattoo on the inside of one of its ears?
That’s my guess. No tattoo that I can see. She’s relatively small, and I’m guessing slightly but from looking at her I don’t think she’s ever had a litter. Suspect she’s quite young.
Just trying to locate details for the relevant chasse head. It won’t be a pack animal in the way you see horse and hounds in the UK because the chasse just don’t operate like that at all
Also, our own (incomplete) dog has got himself stuck after trying to jump her. FFS.
She looks a lovely hound
Well she’s chipped and a message left with the owner. Looks like she was a fair (15km) way from home when we saw her, and given the direction of travel had been even further than that.
Relieved or disappointed
Not sure! She’s absolutely lovely but I’m not sure how she would do being let out off lead next to a field of cows.
Hattie is of to the vets, lump the size of a golf ball. Hoping it’s benign, expect they will take a biopsy.
Good luck Bob, hope it’s something benign.
Good luck bob.
Good luck to Hattie. Bollocks to cancer or any other random lumps.
