Been a rough couple of days for Scout after she was spayed on Friday, but luckily Saffy is always on hand for comfort.

Bandit’s Mum, a 11 year old working sheepdog, jumped off the tractor on Sunday and broke he back leg very badly. It’s had to be amputated I’m afraid.
The shepherd paid £2,200 for the Operation. Proves farmers do love their working animals.
A lot of discussions on various radio stations today about the charges that many large chains of vets demand for prescriptions/treatment compared to what small independent vets charge. Also the startling differences in diagnosis and treatment between vets. Much grumbling and anger expressed. Can’t help thinking it’s a perfectly accurate foretaste of what healthcare for humans will be like quite soon if the powers that be get their way. An expensive nightmare.
