I’m looking forward to meeting him. He’s called ‘Chase’.

He should be called "Delon’ in my unconstructed world.

I was thinking “Yoda”

Where the fuck in doggy world did he get those ears… Epic! :sunglasses:

I know, he gets stopped in the street!

My friend’s 15 year old Doodle-something-or-other Fred.
Totally deaf, partially blind, with intermittent back legs, but still humping cushions with the best of 'em. Love him!

Just been to vets with Tara.
One of her top front teeth fell out last Friday and when I looked there was lump on her gum which seems to have grown even over the last few days so went to vet.
I hoped the lump was an abscess or infection but looks highly likely to be cancer.
The vet even said how excellent her teeth were given her age so it’s a bit of a bastard.

However given Tara’s age (12 in a few months) and her on going arthritis issue we agreed that spending a small fortune on a surgical biopsy just to confirm it was cancer was not worth it as even then the decision to spend a large fortune on surgery that may or may not work is an easy one for me given my financial circumstances. And removing enough of the tumour from her mouth would be very difficult without it massively affecting her quality of life.

She is still eating perfectly well with no obvious pain and appears in good health and spirits otherwise so we agreed to monitor it,
The vet explained that lots of dogs get it in there back teeth so the owners have no idea until the lump becomes massive or the dog starts to be unwell.

If and when it starts to affect her quality of life then I will have to make the ultimate decision.

So sorry to hear this Paul.
I know she has been a great companion for you.

Like a cross between a wife and a daughter.

Been joined at the hip for over 11 years and with me being off work for the last 18 months we spend an inordinate amount of time together.

Fingers crossed Paul that Tara continues to enjoy a decent quality of life for some time to come :crossed_fingers:
