My sister came with me to the vet for support and to make sure I wasn’t talked into anything so we came home via her small holding and Tara had a lovely walk and play with my sisters dogs. You’d never know anything was wrong with her the way she was playing and barking with the Labrador puppy.
Sorry to hear that Tara is poorly. Hoping for the best.
Tough news indeed, Paul, but agree with the guys that you’re doing the right thing. She’s an older dog, and (things that the greedier vets don’t tell you), some such dogs don’t even survive the anaesthetic, never mind the surgery, and then they have to suffer through the recovery &c. Usually for nothing.
Fingers crossed that Tara has a good quality of life for the longest possible time.
Really sorry to hear that Paul, very sad, she always appeared such a lovely dog in the wee glimpses we got here. Very best of luck keeping her as comfortable as possible
You are doing the best for her. She’s had a great life so far and hopefully will continue to do so with you and your kindness.
So very sorry Paul, my heart goes out to you and Tara.
Sorry to read that. Awful decision to have to make but the right thing to do.
Very much this.
Best wishes for you and Tara.
Oh bugger Paul, I’m so sorry to hear this, I know how much Tara means to you.
I’m sure you’ll make the right call when the time comes.
Look at his face.
Just look at his face…
I think you’ve captured it perfectly
LOL looks like he’s doubled in size already.
You are correct about the joy!
He is also is probably twice the weight now he is sodden.
Sorry to hear your news Paul, my thoughts are with you & Tara.
Sorry to hear this Paul
Tara’s tumour has grown a heck of a lot since I went to the vet and she managed to pierce it on Saturday which made it bleed.
She still eats and drinks but I think she will lose the remaining four upper incisors very soon which will make things tough.
Still seems ok in herself, had 10 walks yesterday, and was bright and alert on her first morning walk, which was earlier than usual because I didn’t sleep a wink worrying about her.
