Doggos

Bailey is quite similar. He’s full of beans due to happiness when someone visits us anyway. The last few months, he will have been kept up at night by the other dog not settling.

Am ensuring I keep him occupied before anything else now, or he’ll explode like a handful of really tightly coiled springs. Nut case.

They do make you smile though, a happy dog is a tired dog and a knackered owner

The This mornings walk. From the left Charlie (the little collie who was paralysed in his back end, you can see his boot which he still wears), Basil, Ralph, Barley and Stan.

Based on increasing confidence with Saffron off lead in controlled environments, I’ve been using the relatively enclosed space at the Wilden cricket/ football pitch to practice some recall with her which she is doing quite well with.

Much more importantly, she didn’t run off in the first place! I let her walk around the field with me so she could sniff the hedges etc and then encouraged her to go off and explore herself. She has only recently started to look at me and Hel a bit more when we’re walking so that’s also why I was a bit more confident.

She even popped under the fence and into the next field behind, and rather than romp around she just sniffed about, satisfied her curiosity and stayed quite close. I hid behind a tree at one point and she then came nosing back onto the pitch to try and find me, which is encouraging.

The insurance renewal has just arrived for Maddie and Hildur. It has gone up by quite a bit from last year to £488. I’m going to do a price comparison, but don’t just want cheap, I want a good policy. Any recommendations.

Currently it is with More Than. We have never made a claim.

We use Agria as recommended by the Foxhound rescue we got Saffron from.

Thanks, I’ll get a quote from them.

Our renewal with Petplan was almost £500 just for Zak. We moved to “Bought by Many” who are recommended by Martin Lewis. the cost is virtually half,
