eBay stuff (Part 1)

I am wishing I had bought those Avalons, or the Art speakers advertised on pinkfish recently.

I had a pair - The mid treble electrostatics had a sparkle and openness that the old quads 57’s couldn’t quite match

Mmmm nice :heart_eyes:

Anyone fancy an Acoustic Solid TT and/ or Audio Note Arm 3…?

Big speakers FTW

I had a pair of HPM1100 not quite as nice as these but pretty decent - I used them for discos in the village hall for parties in the village hall. They always sounded pretty decent

I still fancy trying a pair of HPM-150s; the ones with the lighthouse on top…

Those top mounted tweeters are much sought after. Not much use for me though as they crossover at 8.5K I cannot hear much over 11K

I have a hankering for one of these, not sure why, I just want one fully working. :heart_eyes:

@Beobloke again…

@Beobloke ooops

Already got one. :+1:

Not for me but I know someone who would like that.

However, this one I would be on like a tramp on a bag of chips if its original photoelectric cartridge was working.

Sadly it isn’t…

Those things positively scream ā€˜mid-life crisis’ and ā€˜divorce’. He seems to specialise in mad and fugly speakers.

As opposed to a Maserati how, exactly?

Good point, well made. Clearly the horns have better MPG too (and are less likely to rust away).
