eBay stuff (Part 2)

The reason I like it is purely because it is an over stylised parody of a Cactus :+1:

Yep I get the scale, impact side of things :+1:

Thought it was a gherkin plant

It’s awful.
The whole display is awful. A camera photo. Some flowers. And a sax.
Awful.

AWFUL.

Looks like something you buy in the Range.

Personally,I want proof that he can play the sax. If he can’t,then he should be forced to sit on the cactus

Yes it’s completely staged but at least you can see what they are trying to sell. Just the fact that the pics are in focus is something a lot of ebay sellers can’t seem to manage.

I shall be scouring FB marketplace for a fake cactus for my next listing shots.

Still no excuse for the pointless tat on display.

There are so many options for sophisticated backdrops (check any YouTube influencer studio) and they pick that assortment…

No sense of adventure. Conformity, that’s your problem.

Blimey. You would think someone was advertising decorating services, instead of speakers.
Why bother with what you are not interested in?

All it needs is a Rolex.

Easy. He’s on the Cactus dealers list don’t you know.

Not so hard to doubt a mans taste when he proudly displays gigantic spiky phallus & prop sax. It raises concern about his world view, even in sound…A disturbing display.

At least he wasn’t taking the photos while naked forgetting about an adjacent reflective surface!

These are the most entertaining! - Things get weird when it’s cash on collection. Looking in the sellers eye shaking their hand with the indelible image of their ball sack flashing on your minds screen is somewhat funky

I wasn’t bothered until it was posted here and I had to look at it.
I can’t unsee it now.

What the fuck are you on about? An aversion to bad taste isn’t conformity, it’s having good taste. You can be eclectic without random flowers and plastic rubbish.

You sure have chosen an odd hill to die on. Sure, it’s a little tryhard, but in the context of the ultimate in mundanity - an ebay listing - all that matters is that the speakers are clear and in focus, which they are.

Zingalis can sound rather nice with the right kit, too. FWVLIW.

Just a night to go all in. I didn’t have the patience to equivocate.
Welcome distraction from all this hifi talk sprouting up.

Fair point well-made - dunno what this hifi forum is coming to - tho’ rumour has it that the the Wig-Sham is up and running again now, so things’ll prolly calm down again.
