Like Gp Cpt Lionel Mandrake, caretaker CO of RAF Burpleson. He was unfortunate enough to be in office when BGen Jack D Ripper USAF had a nervous breakdown and dispatched the B52s of the 843rd Bomb Wing, armed with fully operational hydrogen air burst devices to their primary targets in the former USSR, the results of which we are all too aware of.
Don’t know about the bomb but surely that’s a cold case closed?
