Stuff breeze last night
Couple of dabs of polyfilla and nobody will notice that.
Being deep into my anecdotage, I like to trot-out my “Last ferry out of Calais” story when the 1987 gales comes-up as a topic, but you have - in all possible senses - blown that clean out of the water, you utterly mad cunt!
Good job - I had two C90’s in 1978 - 79 and it was my only way to get to work in Milton Trading Estate eight miles away. I can attest that they were a total nightmare in the wind and snow. As soon as I could I upgraded to a more conventional Honda 125.
That’s not like you Stu ( I mean only ‘a couple of times’ )
Quite correct; as various branches were flexing and snapping in my face; showering it in lichen and shit; I may have uttered the word ‘cunt’ about 940 times…
It was worth it however! Saved turning an eleven metre long bus on a residential road!
Snow and wind today - about 20cm /8" so far, hope that’s all as it will be chilly clearing it when I get home
Think there will be some digging to get the Audi out of the car park too…
That’s just a steady wind blowing the snow along between the cars to drift in front
14c here today
Halifax Nova Scotia presumably?
Digging was needed
Bloody snow had blown past the car and piled up in front - I really should’ve parked on the other side of the fence…
Strewth! Doesn’t seem the immediately obvious choice of transport for the conditions - but I guess with snow tires and 4WD, it’s just the ground clearance that’s an issue?
Exactly, it’s pretty capable with winter tyres on it - I haven’t had any issues in 5 years with it. They get on with clearing the snow quickly here too; here’s the view this morning:
I love a chap with a sense of adventure.
More snow this weekend; something like 40 cm by Monday apparently
I’m heading home in a minute; hope the ploughs have been out, although it doesn’t look too bad here:
After hunkering down for a day, I’m clearing in a lull before the next heavier spell tonight. Not bad at the front; 6-8" on the flat, but quite a bit more in the drifts:
And a lot more at the back:
That’s about 2 feet - so is this at its worst:
Envy!
