Turkey dinner at me parents on Christmas day. Beef on Boxing day at girlfriend’s parents. Love a turkey dinner. Also love a beef dinner. All is good.
Had turkey dinner at her folks last week as her brothers family is off to Oz for Christmas.

Not surprised he was pissed off tbh. Not only did he lose his sheep, but it was by a vehicle that, really, should be restricted to the racetrack.

Xmas day. Rib of beef with mustard crust, roast spuds, nips, Yorkshire’s, pigs in blankets, chipolatas.

Boxing Day, same as above but substitute a nut roast and turkey crown as we have vegan mates round for dinner as well as the in laws.

This. They can be an effective pick-me-up if you’ve overindulged on the booze the night before too. I discovered this when facing a long day’s work in Santa Fe NM after a heavy night with the locals at some bar/restaurant out in the desert. We drank frozen Margaritas in ridiculous quantities. Strange thing was we felt OK. Until we tried to move.

As far as Xmas Day goes we are pretty traditional and my UK sibs and families, who are coming over, are even more so. So it’ll be a Calnans turkey with all the sides - roasties, possibly mash, parsnips, carrots, sprouts, pigs in blankets, gravy, Xmas crackers etc etc followed by Xmas pud (set on fire with brandy and topped with cream or custard) and/or sherry trifle (TBH ‘or’ is not a popular option) followed by coffee/tea and chocs very possibly in front of the telly.

Missed those off my list - bloody love roast snips

We never have pud until mid-January. I’ve usual managed to clear some space in the gullet by then :ship:
