Chatting with a Spurs ST holder today about their new ground. His current ticket is going up from £1700 to £4200.
At the moment he has it in a syndicate of 6 or so mates, which I can well understand at those prices, but he’s seriously considering binning it off because of the hike. Crazy money.

The crazy thing is that if you look at ticket revenues it’s an every shrinking proportion of a Premier League club’s revenue. TV money makes up the lion’s share.

That’s very true - but if the grounds are half empty and there is little atmosphere it becomes less attractive even for TV audiences and then the TV rights aren’t worth as much - weren’t the latest broadcasting rights contracts for the PL less than the previous one?
I guess once that starts affecting the revenues of the big clubs a European Super League is a certainty.
Just looked at the teams for tonights game at the Emirates and being honest the only Athletico player I know the slighest thing about is Griezmann. Never heard of any of the others.
