Lewis âRainmasterâ Hamilton P16 in Q1
Both RBR cars out as Q2 red flagged as Stroll crashed.
Rain makes the whole process a nightmare for the teams and drivers but very entertaining for the rest of us!
Dry set up it seems.
Eventful race.
Championâs drive from Verstappen and good to see the Alpine underdogs on the podium.
Had an untimely family visit so didnât see the post-VSC part of the race
Feels like it was Landoâs shot at a Suzuka 94, and he flunked it
I suspect thatâs it for the drivers championship.
Still all to play for on the constructors though.
Much though it pains me to admit it, Verstappen is extraordinarily good in the wet - not seen a drive like that since Button came from absolute last to win in the 2011 Canadian GP. Even if Maclaren handât muffed timing of their pit stop I suspect Verstrapon would still have wonâŚ
If Chico had ever showed-up to race in '24, this season would already be in the bag for RBR.
Hammyâs just phoning it in now, waiting for his new red toyâŚ
I think Iâm in the minority, but I donât think his drive this yesr can hold a candle to his drive in 2016?
We live in an age of over-exaggeration. Itâs as though so-called journalists and reporters cannot get by without raising the bar on sensation every time they write something.
Disaster strikes! Verstappen furious! Hamilton something-or-other-big-wordsâŚ
Itâs all to attract as much interest as quickly as possible. Clickbait.
Good drive by MV. âMasterclassâ ? Iâm not qualified to say but feel I have certainly seen better from other drivers. (And MV himself.)
Of course, those reporting now were probably still at school in 2016. Tell them the Monaco GP has been running since 1929 and theyâll not believe you.
I really really approve of this message.
(Iâm not sure an f1 car is an inanimate object, a proof read might have helped add âstationaryâ to the sentance)
Wholeheartedly agree - itâs such a profound absurdity that friends with no interest in F1 have been raising the subject!
If this is all Ben-Sulaymen has to offer, he needs to be fucked-off pronto. The petro-vultures already have WAY the fuck too much of a toehold in the sport.
Actually, what Iâd love to see is an in-car video from his days in rallying, cursing and ranting like normal drivers do - show him for the hypocrite he undoubtedly isâŚ
[pedantic note: strictly, âinanimateâ just means ânon-livingâ.]
Are they widening the track, perhaps knock down a few hotels etc?
The way the cars are going they would be better off racing the team trucks around the Principality!
Monaco has nothing to do with racing, any such connection disappeared long ago!
Presumably the Monagasque royal family have undertaken to make their human rights approach more in line with Saudi and Bahrain.
My first Monaco GP working was 1977, it wasnât really a race then already.
Probably have to go back to the 1.5l NA era with ~200hp max.
Just have Monaco as a one-off race in Superkarts!
