Local to you @Tons_of_fun?
Although the music is admittedly an acquired taste.
Friend of mine caught Covid at an Anthrax concert last week.
Better that than the other way round.
Bonkers but brilliant, that will be a fantastic night.
I won’t bore you with loads of shitty photos, but for example here’s Cave In engaging warp drive. You get the idea. Great fun.
IIVII were very good too. Soundscapes maaaan.
Trying a bit of Acid Mammoth next
Got three on the folk “spectrum” this week, Daoiri Farrell trio, Jim Ghedhi and The Magpies. @octh might be interested.
But I’m putting this to the committee
What do you reckon ? I know the names but I’m not familiar with the music.
kudos for using a selfie stick in there.
I’ve a ticket booked for the Magpies plus Ellie Gowers this Wednesday. Not convinced about Jim Ghedi, and haven’t yet heard much of Daoiri Farrell, will have to listen more.
Sounds as if you’ll have a good week.
Red Fang were also very good, but main stage rather than tiny sweatbox.
Current odour: cannabis farm. The whole “weed culture” thing is strong with this event.
Lightweight.
Guilty as charged.
In my defence I walked “home” this morning because it was past tram o’ clock and got in around 2.30.
But yeah, an hour of carefully curated distortion and feedback was about all I could take tonight.
Cab o’clock?
Could have done, I guess, but coming down from one of the most barking mad gigs I’ve been to in a long time, an hour’s walk in the cool air was actually pretty good.
he knows what I’m talking about
