A friend is going to see Blur somewhere in Holland tonight.
I mentioned that the tickets for Wembley had been very expensive and there had been considerable complaint.
“Hey”, he says, “we paid €52, and you get a free horse sausage with that”

I pledged to never seeing Blur again after I saw them around 12-15 years ago. Such a lazy set and clearly none of the could be arsed. Plus it went on for hours and hours playing all the boring unknown songs.
I walked out half way through. Only reason I went was because it was billed as Blur’s last ever gig. Clearly not.

Big Special at The Dublin Castle in Camden Town. I didn’t think they still did pubs that filthy 
Anyway, that was quite the showstopper.
The Dublin Castle was filthy when I used to go there in the 80s

In sunny (well it was yesterday) Saltburn-by-the-sea
for the folk festival. Main concerts with 3 or four acts on, e.g. the Wilsons (Stockton’s own wall of sound)
and the Canny Band
though I’ve most enjoyed the singarounds and “meet the artist” interviews, less formal and no PA to muffle the sound (also the ONLY time I’m ever likely to set foot in a Conservative club).
