Gigs I'm going to. The Gyroscope diaries

Decent set from Mr Marr although I am not enough of a Smiths fan to ID which were theirs. A good few I think but better for not having Morrissey up front!

Richard Ashcroft was great, basically on the strength of Urban Hymns which was such a good album. But he & his band delivered the songs perfectly.

For those who are fans of Nils Frahm

Revised bill, put out on Thursday of course.

It looks like Steve Hillage and Miquette Giraudy have been roped in. I’d really like to see that but goodness knows when they’re on.

At least it’s finally stopped raining. The venue is very small and relies on having a back yard that is about four times the size of indoors.

What appeared to be a random single track Alex / Steve Hillage collab.

I’ve also finally worked out that Crazy Baldhead is the guy who runs Dubmission. No great insight, it took his “On a Mission from Dub” T shirt to trigger the memory.

I like the Dubmission stuff. Good on him.

He has a very strange shaped head!

He’s standing about five feet away rn chatting with Gaudi. The Orb’s “friends” = a lot of familiar faces

That’s my phone playing silly buggers.

I’m pleased to report that he’s looking very well.

I’ve already had a Belgian friend this morning sounding me out for acting as a surrogate hotel depending on date, location, cost, availability etc.

£100 per ticket apparently.

Ten nights at Wembley, in discussions for Heaton Park to be ten nights.

Headliner at Glastonbury. Eminem supposed to be one of the other two.

If they are canny, they should do the Saturday night slot.

They should give them the Sunday afternoon slot for fun.

Sounds like Blossoms and Courteeners support…

My man tells me that (unsurprisingly) the website has gone toes up.

I guess this is more of a “gigs I have been to” entry, but hey
I was recently challenged by FOL#2 to come up with a playlist for gigs I had been too.
One track per band, per live show, including support acts if they can be remembered…
Default order is chronological, starting in May 83 up to Nov 23.

For those with Tidal, and even the slightest interest, it is here:
