Deaf School tonight.

Benefits at the Lexington next April.

Ended up explaining to Kingsley (via Instagram) where it is. He is (rightly) concerned about parking

Yes, a very long time since you could have left it for a car valet under St Pancras Station arches, or parked up Goods Way or Camley Street.

Pigs tickets acquired… then realised I already have a ticket to see Amplifier at the Louisiana on the same night.

Nick Cave tonight.
Should be very good, given the reviews and the songs. He is always great live.

Saw Martin Harley last night with, unexpectedly (to me, at least) Mark Lewis on upright bass. The venue was the basement at Temperance in Leamington. It’s tiny. I went with my bro and cousin and my cousin is not tiny (tall and broad) so we sat with backs to the side wall, very close to the small space with the performers in it. You can get some idea of the space, albeit with different artists, from this, tied together by the obligatory rug,

I got there early enough that Martin Harley was still in the bar. He asked the young barmaid if she had a piece of paper, but she didn’t. She had a phone, so why would she need paper ? Old-fashioned as I am I’d printed my ticket out. It became the set list.

He and Mark were excellent and we were closer to them than this

Scored for a disabled access ticket with a freebie for wor kid as my “carer”, so now that I know I’m eligible for such things my gig going may become more frequent. :+1:

Excellent evening with Police Dog Hogan at the Plowright theatre in Scunthorpe. Great gig and a very nice venue, pity it was less than half full.
