Benefits in-store at Rough Trade East. Very dimly lit so I won’t inflict my attempts at photography on you.
Shakk guesting on Divide was very special.
Radio 6 (artists and DJs) bingo in the audience.
How was the gig?
Petior and I will see them the 3rd at Union Chapel.
Excellent as always, the new album is de rigueur listening before you go.
Enjoy!
I’m rounding off 7 gigs in 23 days with a first visit to Prohibition Recording Studios in Liverpool tonight to see Robert Vincent. The recording studio becomes a performance space
Richard Dawson is playing here in May. Wife said fuck no. So far not found anyone else that’s available and interested in going. The friend that would normally be up for any gig is already at something else that night.
Anyone here seen him before? Worth going?
This came up in conversation (SiL #1 had bumped into Alex) and I have now been informed that I’m buying tickets and we’ll be staying in Mells
Wells?
EDIT. I see there is a Mells. I’d never heard of it.
However this got canned this morning when the wife did a mystery shop on the hotel. Christmas party season I guess.
OTOH this was announced today and we can walk to it
That should be a heck of a gig.
get the No.3 moar like
It has to be said that the Lambeth Town Hall stop is directly outside.
Remember going to a couple of raves on shoreham beach in the early 90s
Looks like tickets go on sale Friday for 3 King Gizzard gigs in the UK, one in Manchester and 2 at Electric Brixton if anyone is interested:

Quite keen on going, so that will be the Manchester date for me.
They’ll probably have released another 17 albums by November.
Clive Carroll at the Black Swan, York October 9th
Little Barrie & Malcolm Catto at Hare & Hounds Birmingham last night. I knew nothing about this power trio, subsequently found out they are peerless musicians, probably the best live drumming I’ll ever get to witness, highly recommended to anyone into psychedelic/surf rock/groove/60’s Rn’B.
