I’m not having much luck with Pye Corner Audio. The venue is now scheduled to close on the 25th October.
It’s quite a blow for Peckham, and South East London culture in general.
Booked this morning because the wife is a big Gans fan.
Suspect that we’ll be seeing them twice in a month because this came up this evening and she’s an even bigger Opus Kink fan.
The friend I was going to see Little Barrie with on the 24th September in Manchester has had to bail due to now playing at his own gig that evening - if anyone is free and wants to come along, that would be awesome. Tickets were a massive £23 each, but I’m less bothered about the cash as the waste of a ticket. Details here:
We all went to Reading Festival on Friday. We were a bit late but caught Geese, thankfully in a tent coz there was a serious downpour while they were on. Charli xcx - not sure i get it tbh, but why would I? And lastly Fontaines DC, who were absolutely superb. This is the second time we have seen them, but in between they have become a monster. Worth catching their set on iplayer.

Tried to get Fontaines tix this morning, for the o2 in November. No chance! I’m hoping they will add another show as it was the last date of their tour.

I tried for the hydro in Glasgow, which I detest as a venue, as I really wanted to see them. No joy either. However they have just announced these shows barely a couple of hours after selling out the five figure capacity arenas.

Yes, I joined the rsvp thing. 
Have you seen them? They are superb live. I read something yesterday saying that they aren’t a stadium band, yet, which I thought was nonsense. Last week at Reading they were spectacular, and I can well imagine the sort of show they’ll put on in these big venues. London Stadium is easy for us, too. Just hope I can grab tix, coz yesterday I had no chance. I logged on 20 mins before they went on sale and there were 23,000 people in the ‘queue’ in front of me!

No, I’ve never seen them before, I was a bit late to the fontaines party tbh. The reading show was superb. Hopefully next week I’ll have some tickets for Glasgow Green!

I’ve kinda been into them for a while, but only listening vaguely to their records as they came out. Saw them a couple of years ago, and then they gripped me, the fam too. They have hit another level though since. It’s a neat trick they have pulled off. They have become enormous without selling out, each record a step on from where they were. All their material makes sense together. An hour and a half of bangers the other day, and they didn’t play everything. A rare thing: the gig felt like a real occasion, really exciting. Hopefully we can get tix for LS, it holds 68,000 so might be easier!
