Very good for a 1st timer…
You could bend your knees a little and be a bit further from the ball, it will give you more room.
Your back swing is how your finish position should look. When you’re starting out, go for a shorter backswing, focus on having your belt buckle facing the target at the finish.

I’m an 18hc so not a teaching pro😂, but I’ve had a lot of lessons and could get you in a good set up position to increase your chances of hitting it properly. Plus a few thoughts to have in mind.

Oh yes, Golf is the perfect audiophool sport.
Occasional moments of perfection, that seem to slip away and become unattainable for months at a time… There’s loads of pseudoscience and techie bits of faf, the swing itself is the cause of endless debate…

I’d probably just use a 9i,maybe a 7i if there was a headwind
I have recently been presented with this small trophy.
Wifey has put it in pride of place next to the telly in the kitchen. Will shortly be on top of the wardrobe in a spare bedroom with the rest of my collection. Then probably fall down the back and be forgotten about until I die or we sell the house.

Just won my division. So not really medal worthy. First thing I have won for a bit apart from vouchers and beer.
I shall point it out to visitors that know nowt about golf and hope they are mildly impressed.
We have a medal winners comp that I could have played in, but it was over the August bank holiday.
Not played much this year, but down to 13.1. Getting there slowly.

Had new everything except my 5 wood fitted last year. Just need the time to play/practice more.
Bit inconsistent. 4 double bogeys and a triple for 34 points on Sunday.
Be nice to get to 10. Getting back to 8 is probably a step too far.
