Driver of tram saw me running and waited. They didn’t have to do that.

I’m very impressed with the customer service department at Merrell.
I bought a pair of Merrell goretex shoes just under a year ago that suffered an ingress of water last week. I fired off an email to Merrell customer service who asked me to supply a bunch of photos.
They got back to me yesterday to say that they believed the issue was due to wear and tear rather than any manufacturing defect but nonetheless they offered me £140 to spend at their UK website which really was very generous of them. I’m absolutely delighted.

I have to give a shout-out to John Smedley for some phenomenal customer service. I have a few of their jumpers (all second-hand on Vinted, I am not paying JS’s prices for a jumper this side of a lottery win). I bought one recently, the first one that’s a full merino/cashmere mix. Within about 10 minutes of trying it on, the cat jumped on me, dug in all his claws, and made two substantial pulls in the fabric.
I got in touch with JS, explained what had happened, and for the cost of postage, they’ve done a flawless fix to sort the issue, and it was less than a week (I posted it Friday, and it was back with me today). No charge for the repair, even though it wasn’t a manufacturing issue.
