I always find it interesting how long it takes some teams to get going in a season. It’s like they don’t practise or have preseason games at all!
Still impossible to predict who will go to the Superbowl. The Eagles look incredibly consistent - the Chiefs seem to have lulls in many matches where things just don’t connect.
I came help but think that injuries will end up playing a huge part. The Bengals look fantastic now that Burrow is fit. Losing key players seems to have a disproportionate impact in this sport.
Getting hot at the right time is so important. And as the season progresses and weather turns shitty teams that can run the ball (smash mouth football) and strong defences rise to the top.
Thank fuck the Raiders finally fire Josh McDaniels as head coach and fuck him and his massively overcomplicated playbook off.
I wasn’t a fan of the flawed idea of bringing Jon Gruden back off the pundit couch to try to compete, but even he was better than McDaniels who has cost the team a fortune both personally in his contract and in some bizarre money losing trades.
Holy shit, I didn’t realize the dynamic there. He had lost the dressing room and the coaching staff. Can’t see him ever working again if what’s being reported is true.
