To me Oolong is like coffee, smells fantastic but lacks something in taste.

So I’m of no help.

Any update on this? Did you get anything and what did you think if so?

i missed the post

we are enjoying this at the moment

this afternoon, an aromatic black Japanese tea

Ooh, where’s that one? The Wench bought a new tea pot recently and it’s an annoying piece of shit to actually use.

I broke my best one and started using the ‘spare’ which was also an annoying piece of shite to use.

I got this from Amazon, first use today and I like it.

Ehugos Glass Teapot, 1500ml Stovetop Safe Tea Kettle with Infuser Borosilicate Glass Water Jug Clear Tea Pot Maker for Loose Leaf Tea, Hot/Iced Water, Juice Beverage: Amazon.co.uk: Kitchen & Home

No, not yet. I probably need a new teapot as well since our one gets battered with stewed assam for 18 hours a day. I can’t imagine that doesn’t colour the flavour of anything brewed in it. So, that’s as far as I got with that :stuck_out_tongue:

Can’t go wrong with another little Zero Japan one, right?

I was looking at this place, which is a local business and also sells teapots. Was eyeing up this.

Yixing

Jian Shui pot and cup.

Need to blow the dust off the yixing pot  ( not really the photo is old).

I follow some people on Insta who keeps showing pots and I have to stop myself from buying them.

Very Japanese.

Has anyone ordered from any of the direct-from-Japan online shops?

I have a vague memory of doing this a few years ago, and also a vague memory that the tea was very nice.

This was the place I ordered from. Will brexit have made this more expensive?

No more expensive as Japan is not in the EU.

Only ever ordered from China personally as I really only buy Pu’erh.

Thanks. I will definitely try this place out.

Teapot is great :+1:

@anon14766838 just received my order from Postcard Teas. The brewing instructions on the site don’t say how long to brew for. What do you do?

I got the oolong and black tea you recommended, as well as a selection of Japanese green teas and a few other interesting black teas. I really enjoyed the unsmoked lapsang souchong I got from Pekoe tea so fancied trying a few more black teas.

from memory about three minutes.
