Had a pootle around Holkham, then popped to Burnham Market for a pint.
Off to Barcelona for a long weekend. With old school mates.
I’ve done the sights before but interested if anyone knows of a good place to eat. As in from experience rather than reviews. We are staying about a mile from the centre and beach.

I’ve not been here. I’ve also not read a review of the place either. But this is the place I’d be making a beeline for if I were in Barcelona:
Albert Adria is Feran Adria’s brother, and was actually responsible for a lot of the development work that made El Bulli the best restaurant in the world for a number of years.

Monday we head off on a Staycation in York for a few days in an apartment with Strayan friends over here, then Lincoln on the way home.
I have pulled my Big Boy Pants on and driving the EV.
Route planned. Recharging stops added. Day trip to Whitby. Shed loads of food and drink.
Can’t wait.

Park and ride at Poppleton seems to have a good lot of chargers if that helps. We are staying near there soon with a plan to drive to the park and ride to charge, get the electric bus into the centre to go to the rail museum.

Our apartment is walking distance to the City. Inside of Micklegate, so we’ll use the charging stations between trips.
Waking up to a very pleasant morning in Munich.
Got in at 2pm yesterday. Another buddy flew in from Luxembourg around the same time. We all shared a flat in Ravenscourt Park 1985-87.
Started drinking around 3pm. I know we had to do a run to the garage for more beer and cigarettes at some point.
Reckon I must have bailed around 9pm when my face ceased to function.
Now the house is littered with empty beer and whisky bottles. I think I probably feel a lot better than I have any right to.

Ravello is a lovely place.
Indeed it is. Next time I will take the bus rather than the mammoth Lemon tree walk across the hills. I think there was around a 2000 steps ascent from Maiori. Great views but hard work in the heat of the day.
