Holidays

It always surprised me how deep it went when we used to visit Munich for the show.

My friend’s son and his mates just stopped by to get their lederhosen on before going to the same event. 28" waist twats

Pretty sure my thighs are each more than 28"

German sues holiday company for allowing guests to ‘reserve’ sun beds with towels.
Quite ironic since it is the stereotypical German who is the worst culprit!

Having a week near Chipping Norton.

Drove past Clarkson’s pub and farm shop, absolutely rammed so didn’t stop.

Weekend innit !

What is the end point on the French coast?
Collioure?

That makes my OCD twitch.
Loops, figure 8s, amoaeba strips, DNA style multi-elipses, all make sense.

That ???

Not decided yet, anywhere for a quick toe dip in the Med. Then back to Cantollops for a couple of days R&R.

And relax :wine_glass:

We certainly will Mike - it was touch and go up until yesterday whether we would get away at all.

Well, at least you got there, so now it’d be rude to waste the good fortune

Headed into Salou for the afternoon - we were pleasantly surprised at how nice it was especially the promenade area.

I wouldn’t like to visit at the height of the season mind - gammon central.

It’s a grand walk along that prom..I went to Salou on a local coach tour in early 1980’s at height of season ..36 hrs on coach ,wise guy kept saying only 1 hr away just round this bend now 7 hours later we got there ..food was not nice I hadn’t come across a yellow chicken leg before ,crowd said don’t eat the meatballs so I asked for an omelette it arrived runny and what looked like last week’s lettuce..we ended up eating out for the duration ..I got sunstroke and was in a bad way as well as the runs ..real glad to got back home ..I have never ventured into Spain since …
One lad from Hartlepool hit on a great scam by picking all the empty beer bottles from around the pool and cashed them in to a local supermarket..it paid for his alcohol for the whole holiday ..he drank a lot ..

This is a bit of an eye opener
BA’s ‘no-show’ clause cost me £9,000 for new flights | Money | The Guardian BA’s ‘no-show’ clause cost me £9,000 for new flights | Money | The Guardian

Yeah, the wife fell foul of that.

She had a return to NI booked, had to hop on an earlier flight because her mother was taken ill and she just wrote off the original outward leg. When it was time to go home BA had cancelled the return leg because she didn’t show up for the outbound.

Infuriatingly you can’t cancel some flights (e.g. from City) online, you have to go on the phone queue of doom.

So you can’t get your IT straight to allow me to cancel the flight, but you can put together a job that matches up no-shows with return legs and cancel those. Got you.
