We did have a Travis Perkins in the town, now long gone, anywhere else would probably have to deliver anyway so thought it won’t really make a difference if its local.
Last time in the Swindon B&Q they had a terrible selection.

There’s a Travis Perkins in Didcot, but I wouldn’t use them for anything ‘special’.
I’ve had good experiences with these people in the past
and they’re not so far from where you work. If they can’t supply what you want then they’re the sort of people who would give good advice on where else to try.

I’ve two long term projects but I’d like a ‘reference’ speaker to have as a backdrop:
- A 2/3 way speaker with some Scanspeak 10F and 26W/4534 bass drivers that I already have. This may turn into some kind of large all-in-one streaming thing for our new kitchen.
- A 2-way high efficiency design using a 12" bass (TBC/Supravox 285GMF) and a 1" CD ( Tymphany DFM-2535R00-08, BMS 4524/4550 etc) with the Seos-12 I already have.
- The third is I’d like to revisit the Goodmans 201/301 but finding a pair in good condition is getting hard. I still have a Sica HFU 6x8 tweeter to go with them.
I’ve been searching for some Kef Reference 3.2s as I really want to try them but not finding a pair in the right finish (rosewood) or within pickup distance. Open to trying something new…

There was a quad of 401s from a church, I was outbid.

201s seem to come up fairly regularly on ebay, but I guess you’re already tracking those.
I’d like to say you can have your old ones back, but I still like them too much to part with right now 
That’s a decent price - I have had a pair treble truly excellent bass less good.
Changing the bass to open baffle design definably possible.

I’ve got a pair of these and some continentals, the bass is a lot tighter when the bass units are swapped out for some Leak sandwich drivers.

Interesting. I’ll have a look, only thing I’d be aprehensive about is the powered ESL panel, right at toddler height, with friends and family little ones as us starting a family next year. Similar reason I have ruled out another pair of Magnepan speakers, probably not very little finger resistant even if they are safer from an electrical point of view.

Indeed I do Paul - love 'em.
Very very good speakers which sound great even in my small man-cave. I think they would sound even better with more space to breathe - lovely looking speakers as well.
