Horsing around (bankruptcy watch)

Being an old fart I had to Google that.

Wait, you had to Google what an iPhone was? That’s almost as bad as the 19 yo colleague I was talking to who had no idea telephones didn’t have any sort of memory facility…

Not just telephones, lots of members here have no sort of memory facility.

No, I was just ignorant of how much Apple’s current premium offering costs.

That’s a bit of a shocker, and certainly not something you want to have Dobbin practice his tap dancing on.

This ongoing catalogue of disasters is undoubtedly my favourite thread on this forum. Makes me thank my lucky stars every day that i don’t own a horse. Keep it up

I am thinking of going back to the beginning of this thread and starting a spreadsheet.

Every word is true :+1:

I was looking for that to post in this thread. Glad someone did.

We were meant to be moving Goldie to her new stables today.

But. She. Would. Not. Get. On. The. Fucking. Trailer.

We tried for 2 hours but no joy.

She ended up being so wound up she had to be put in the paddock, whereupon she went totes mental, raced around bucking and rearing and then found the shitty muddy bit and rolled around in it, completely covering her new stable blanket in shitty mud…

So tomorrow we’ve got one of the girls on the yard, who has one of those massive posh horsey mobile home trucks to try moving her.

Failing that, we’re going to have to walk her to the new place, luckily we can go down quiet lanes to get there. Should only take about an hour…

We’ve got some calming cookies, which sound suspiciously like horsey space cakes, to give her which should take the edge off when they try to load her up.

Fucking dumbfuck horse.

Couldn’t she just hack her out to the new pad?

Probably, but we’re worried about her spooking at a car, or a sodding bumblebee or something, so we were thinking of walking her with two leads, one on each side, maybe with claire following behind in the car with her hazards on.

Understand that if she is skittish. Start easily always.

Skittish ? She sounds a basket case.

She just needs putting into work, and because she hadn’t been for 3 months before we got her (the yard in Carlisle got hit really bad with flooding, both paddocks and the turnout fields under water), and now again for a couple of weeks because of her fall, she’s pretty wired.

As soon as we can get her burning some of that energy off, Lauren can start bringing her on, she’s got real potential to be a great horse.

Sounds suspiciously like ‘this is my last cartridge/amp/speakers, honestly I can’t ever see me changing them……’:rofl::rofl:

Maybe try those cookies yourself Rob.
