How actually do you feel?

The shoulder injury decided to make a show again, so have had to stay a bit longer in Langudoc… oh the hardship. Off to the docs, a one hour wait without appointnent for a 30 Euro consultation. Painkillers, anti inflamatories, magic cream were . forthcoming. What about helping me sleep i enquired. Not a problem sir, have one of these at bed time and say goodbye to the world for 10 hours…10mg Diazepan duly prescribed. No wonder the French spend so much time sleeping! Give them our like confetti! CoCodomol, they dont like giving that out and you need a script for the 8mg stuff, but Vallium, you can buy that from online docs and pharmacies.

The all up cost of the pills n potions was a tenner, and that’s full comercial cost, not bad I thought.

Lights going out at ten tonight, Zzzzzzzzzxxz

See an employment lawyer and tell them that you think you’re being set up for either dismissal or constructive dismissal, take all your notes. The first consultation should be free, and the union may well cover ongoing costs as part of your membership benefits. A decent law dog will be salivating with all the evidence that you have stored up.

When you win, take the money and bugger off to the land of delicious beer.

I’m gonna do this. I’m RMT so hopefully they’re good with this sort of thing. I’ll seek advice! :hugs:

Don’t forget the harm to your mental health. Do the fuckers for every penny you can get.

Very good point. Frankly if it wasn’t for my family, I wouldn’t be here.

In the last eight years of this shitshow, I’ve been signed off with work stress for a total of four months…

It is fucking horrible working in an environment where almost everyone is looking to get you out.

And for me, that means no money and homelessness.

You really need to have some rock solid exit plans from this incredibly toxic workplace ASAP - no-one should have to live with the shit you’re being subjected to… :face_with_symbols_on_mouth:

Given your current licences, would coach driving be an option? What about HGV work? I fully agree with following union and legal advice—and documenting everything: keep a timeline, preserve emails, and get notes from your GP. Having a next step lined up may also reduce the feeling of being ‘trapped’.

Alternatively, you could consider hiring a private investigator to gather background on senior management; discreet, factual dirty insight can help in a quiet negotiations.

I’ve a large file going back to 2018.

Does anyone have any recommendations for an Employment Law brief on the off-chance?

I have used these guys:

From memory they charged about £400 for an initial consultation - meeting to discuss, review the basic docs, initial advice about whether to proceed and what to do.That was all I needed, I don’t know how much an actual case would cost.

Do check you bank accounts, insurance, unions etc to see if any of them include legal advice

RMT will support legal battles, and have their own companies that they finance. That’s why you join unions :+1:

hahahahahahahaha

When I contacted the CWU about a constructive dismissal from Crapita (the CWU had been slaughtering them in the press for outsourcing contact centers to India)

In a massive bout of irony they had outsourced the legal services and were not interested as the money they would win didn’t represent enough profit to justify seeing it through for them.

Unions are cunts.

Check house insurance, contents insurance, credit card, anything/anyone you insure with.
I used a firm based in Oval. Can’t remember the name but will check.

Just checked. Still can’t remember their name, but whoever they are/were, they’re not there anymore. I’ll keep looking.
If it helps, I was covered under my house insurance.

The plan really is to bugger off to the land of delicious food and drink where I have family.

Yesterday saw the 650th day of language lessons; I’m pleased with my progress and so is family when I talk to them.

I really need to be bang on as before when I did work experience there in a Truck garage, my French was way below par.

Yesterday, I got an email response from the MD and HR about the ‘officials report’ and another just now from the general manager at depot.

I’ll be waiting to see if my rep is around and pushing for this to be in company time.

At the moment, it is set for over an hour before I sign on. That would leave me with less than fuck all sleep!

The more I learn about your employment situation the more I am in admiration of you for sticking with this appalling shower. Surely, this meeting should be in company time. How do they possibly justify having this meeting outside work hours (rhetorical). Good luck with the French language.

It largely took place in company time this morning. I dismantled the spurious report in a clinical manner.

I highlighted the accusatory statements within as well as the general weighting- a report that should have been about being verbally assaulted and threatened- was instead titled "behavior and failure to pick up passenger.

Duty of care was mentioned as was the company’s failure to follow the Absence Management procedure- a Return to Work interview would have givwn me an opportunity to show them the video.

I also stated that were it not for the video a passenger took and shared with me, based on the report, the outcome may have resulted in a Garage Disciplinary Enquiry.

We have asked for an investigation into the manager’s report and an apology.

I’m considering seeing my GP.

You need a break. See your GP. Will you need to inform Oc Health or is that up to your manager?

I wrote to the head of TfL as well as their commercial director. I asked them what guidance is given to Bus Operators re: Assaults on Staff.

Unfortunately there has not been any response. To that end, I sent an email to my Local MP and he has agreed to take it on. I recieved an email from his office with a Reference Number.

A particularly cunty journey to work has got me questioning why I’m busting my balls getting up at stupid o clock for a bunch of cunts that clearly don’t give a fuck.

Yesterday, I explained to.a passenger that knocked on the door at a bus stand- instead of waiting ten fucking minutes- to ask a pointless question that I don’t appreciate being disturbed at Bus Stands.

The thick cunt said sorry and I pulled them up by saying they’re not actually sorry. I explained that yesterday was day six of seven 03:30 wake up times.

There were no road closures; no valid reason to talk to me.

GP visit imminent.
