lol
Although I knew the Half Moon very well (it was in Herne Hill) and infact rehearsed there sometimes, the pub I worked in was the Tulse Hil Hotel - on the corner down from the railway station.
There is a huge modelling push on the behalf of the Royal Society. In my field, which is effectively modelling time series when you get down to the nuts and bolts of it, everybody who is credible is involved. There is no-one credible who is not involved either directly or indirectly.
Due to unprecedented demand on here, have managed to zoom in on ‘lead Bunny’ garden interloper.
Enjoy!
Afraid not, I replaced the tall moustached guy (Rod or Ron was his name - sadly no longer with us). Agree, it’s a great LP, recorded live.
PS I did sit in with the band with this lineup at the Nags Head Blues club in Battersea - playing slide guitar - those were the days!
I have a story about Shakey Vick’s Blues band that is too long to type out, maybe Lopwell or a bake off.
I seem to remember that they had some sort of record for the longest pub residency in London.
That pretty much reflects the justifiable difference in property prices between London and Brum.
A broader view
I read that too quickly, thought it said Miles Davis, , ,
indeed we have several groups at it in various areas.
There is an astonishing academic effort to unlock the secrets of this thing.
Almost every relevant academic discipline has had some call or other, to collaborate.
Thanks for your story, as I said previously they were one of my favourite groups, always liked blues music and Spencer Davies filled that gap nicely between rhythm and the blues. I’d still pay to watch them if even just for a nostalgia trip
Bats really do have it in for us. First Ebola, now this. They haven’t forgiven us for Bram Stoker’s slanderous scribblings.
That’s part of my concern. From what I have read the timescale for a vaccine is 12-18 months. I don’t think that this level of lockdown can be made to last that long. I think that we can’t just wait for science to come cavalrying in, we need to create systems that protect the vulnerable (especially those in care homes that rely on direct contact with healthy people), while allowing more of the essential services to go on.
Testing will be necessary to work out who can provide the essential services to the vulnerable but not infected. It’s easy to see the possibility of the immune being segregated from their non-immune family members so that they can continue work. Doubt that would be popular though.
Are you thinking that separation would be necessary so immune mum doesn’t turn up for work with the non-immune toddler’s snot on her cardigan/hands ? If so then she might find it easier to continue living with her family and change clothes when she arrives at the care home, then wash her hands/forearms thoroughly before going near the old dears. That should get her at least as clean as the kitchen’s incoming fruit and veg (washing raspberries is a bugger).

Isn’t that bmtell?
Unlikely. Pouch would be too big.
Probably.
He could have a sock in there.
