How do you feel? (Part 1)

We have a relative with dementia who is in a home. She currently has a chest infection so is being isolated in her room. Its a terrible situation.

And the loveliness keeps on coming… I get that limited resources need prioritising but some of this is close to eugenics…

Maybe they’ll get them doing other jobs. I know the CSA office in Plymouth are now handling universal credit claims as are land registry in Torbay I believe.

Apropos to nothing in particular, my 13 year old son has just declared that; “lock down for Covid-19 is like a slightly happier death row.” When pressed he said, without exactly caring; "Well dad’s probably gonna die isn’t he? :flushed:

Kids - giving it to you straight from the moment they can talk :facepunch:

He’s noticed that you’re happier than usual. Surely that’s a result :grinning:

That’s me furloughed for 3 weeks. It’s going to be a long 3 weeks looking after a 7 year old. She told me to go to HER room last night and think about my attitude ! :joy:

Donna’s brother remarried 20 or so years ago
He has 3 kids from one marriage and likewise his wife has 3

They moved into a biggish house in London, sadly the youngest has autism, I have no idea how bad he is on the spectrum, but he has never spoken and just paces around the house
He will run straight into the street or jump out of any window and still has to wear a nappy

He is now in his early 20s
I sincerely hope this government are not going to go the way this article is suggesting

I presume you mean ‘not going to go’

Miriam still not received her letter. Rang up the surgery and they are still waiting for the relevant authority you tell them to issue the letters. They told her they are in the process of ringing all those affected and telling them to proceed as if they had the letter as their names are on the national list.

How the fuck we muddle through shit like this beats me, it’s a fucking national pastime.

Had to ring up the surgery also to get Donna on the list

Miriam was on the list, surgery had no authority to issue letters. Bat shit crazy.

I got my letter today
It is from the NHS and has a return address of a PO Box in Darlington so has come from the central database.
It is the full standard 12 week letter (I googled to check) but it is signed off with my practice name and phone number.
When I rang the surgery after my letter didn’t arrive by 29th March as per Government advice they said that they had received no instructions from any central authority but were ready to upload all the details of the patients on their local database when they found out how to do it.
They asked me to wait a couple of weeks and if I hadn’t heard anything to call them.
I got a text on Monday with the same content and the actual letter arrived today.

You need this info as it gives a link to register on the vulnerable list. (Useful if you want to get a delivery from Sainsbury as they are only delivering to people on the register)
