I had to stop working on the death counts back in May/June as it got too depressing. Luckily I had finished my task so simply declined another.
Yep atb rob …my brother in law brother is in induced state due to covid , hes really in a bad way …also his mother is in hospital ,…very poorly indeed .

Finally some good Covid news
Sutcliffe was sent there after developing Covid-19 but is understood to have refused treatment… The 74-year-old, who had returned to prison after being treated for a suspected heart attack two weeks ago, had gone back to hospital after testing positive for coronavirus. Sutcliffe was in ill-health, was obese and had diabetes.

One of the creepiest tales about Sutcliffe came from his sister who was once visiting him, stayed until evening and then didn’t want to make her way home (because the Ripper) Despite being assured repeatedly by Sutcliffe that she’d be fine, she wouldn’t go and he eventually had to give her a lift.

Not all that long ago I read a couple of books about Sutcliffe ; Wicked Beyond Belief about the murders and the investigation and Somebody’s Husband, Somebody’s Son about Sutcliffe’s family life and upbringing. It feels like another age.
We’d like to think that the set of circumstances and attitudes that allowed him to opportunistically prey on his victims and then extend the spree, are not possible today, we can never be too sure.
Some terrible mistakes were made but the police looking for Sutcliffe can say (in mitigation) that they didn’t have access to the kind of IT we have now
And on the same day. She hasn’t been found guilty but she may well be. How could this have happened?
