That is a second one then by the looks of it.
If there is a choice of vaccines, our Government will choose the least effective, most expensive and hardest to get one.
The Grauniad suggests that the Modena vaccine is $30ish which is very expensive but does not need to be kept at ultra low temperatures. They also outline what the costs and benefits/weaknesses of the other candidate vaccines are.
When is Grayling announced as the new vaccine minister?
Quickest way of finding out which vaccine we will get is to check which drug companies have a Tory either on the board, consultant, or financial interest in. Then you have your answer.
Grayling is no longer out on his own as the most useless cunt ever. Plenty more to choose from.
Just been catching up on this thread. @Rob998 hope you are all clear and well soon and @Deggie the same for your brother-in-law.
Piers Morgan’s rant at Hancock was pretty good. Of course, Hancock didn’t even have the self awareness to look embarrassed …
I still think grayling is the standout fuckwit, but it’s a strong field against him
95 patients with confirmed Covid infections, found the candidate vaccine has an efficacy of 94.5%. In the analysis, 90 of the patients received the placebo with the remaining five the vaccine.
Eh?
You take 1000 people.
You give a vaccine to 500 and a placebo to 500
Wait until a bunch get covid.
You look at which groups they came from. If it’s a 100 people with covid, 95 from the placebo and 5 from the vaccine it’s 95% effective. Ish.
There is usually at least one prick involved in a vaccination
Any of the data on these vaccines been published yet? Interested to find out who the ten and five percent are. Are they spread evenly throughout the sample or are they associated with a defined group in the sample etc…
Badoom tish, here all week
In the company of an arsehole such as Morgan he probably didn’t feel the need.
Wishing you and Claire a speedy recovery
Worth a watch, although it’s excruciating… Don’t know why the clip starts 4 mins in, but worth watching from the start.
More sleaze - I’m sure there weren’t any kickbacks in this one…
I still feel that it’s this kind of thing that will eventually bring the current government down.
They can withstand any amount of hate for being viewed as too authoritarian, too right-wing, too Brexity, but more and more they’re being viewed as being both incompetent and corrupt. That’s a lot less easy to shrug off.
By then their mates will have pocketed so much that they can all retire to their private islands
