Yup
Yep just had a google and looks like they were understanding blood clots and strokes a while ago…
Why is the coronavirus, which was assumed to be a disease of the lungs, causing blood clots that lead to a higher incidence of stroke? Researchers have shown that the coronavirus enters human cells via a very specific access point – a protein on human cells called ACE2. But the coronavirus latches onto this protein and uses it to as a gateway into the cell, where the virus can replicate. Not all cells have the same amount of ACE2. This protein is very abundant on cells that line blood vessels, the heart, kidney, and of course, the lungs. Dr. Jabbour and colleagues speculate that the virus may be interfering with this receptor’s normal function, which controls blood flow in the brain, in addition to using it as an entry point to the cell.
Another possibility is that the inflammation of the blood vessels causing vasculitis with injury to the cells lining the lumen of the vessel, called endothelium and causing micro thrombosis in small vessels.
Think I’ll start taking a small dose of aspirin each day.
There was also talk of Kawasaki disease in children with Covid, that causes inflammation of blood vessels
It seems odd that it’s not been more widely reported.
It has it’s own risks and because people are stupid many will take a normal dose which is bad daily.
That is an increasingly big problem ![]()
We know that at least 52% fall into the bracket
Just had a phone call from the office. A new gentleman I went to for the first time on Saturday, having come out of hospital, has had to go back in and test tested positive for covid19. So stop work and now sat in my car waiting for my 10:00 drive through appt.
Good luck.
Hope all is well.
Hope all turns out OK Simon.
Fingers crossed Simon
Just got back home from having the test. Isolate until I get the result. I feel fine and the wife has been told not to get a test until symptoms show so it could just be work being over cautious…
Good luck mate, I hope you don’t get it, it’s a cunt.
Your seem to be successfully remaining alive, how are things going?
Hope you’re feeling better.
That’s the spirit
Thanks for asking, here goes:
Every time I think I’m better, the little cunt comes back for another go. Was hoping to be back at work this week, but I’m not well enough. Still totally knackered, and any physical activity, like putting the bins out, leaves me short of breath and wiped out. Constant headache, that paracetamol or aspirin only reduces to just about bearable levels, it’s like having a permanent hangover without the enjoyment of being pissed the night before.
Sense of smell, and therefore taste is slooooooowly coming back. I had a sniff at a jar of cumin powder this morning, and it was like smelling a Schwartz jar that you found at the back of your grans kitchen cupboard, with a best before date in the early 70s, sort of a ghost of cumin past.
Claire has got fairly minor symptoms, but is similarly wiped out.
Kids haven’t had any symptoms at all, little shits.
