How do you feel? (Part 1)

Took the boy to a test on Friday. The drive through testing centre in Welwyn was kinda stressful but well organised. Result (negative) was back in 24 hours, so he can actually go to school tomorrow!

In other good news.

I hope it gives him a fucking good kicking, but he makes a full recovery so he can stand trial for sedition.

Much as I dislike everything about the man I cannot wish ill on Giuliani. He is a doddery old coffin dodger with a tenuous grip on reality, ill fitting trousers and questionable coiffure. Much like most of us on here.

FWLIW I hope he recovers sufficiently to face justice for his actions and enjoys a decent stretch in the Big House as a reward.

Negative for Cronky, have the far worse man flu variant. All tea and cake has dried up, sympathy went out the window. She understands nothing… . .

The Scum will claim it was entirely down to them that people get the vaccine.

Including Liverpool where their sales are currently standing at 1*

.* he was a bit short sighted and bought it by accident but luckily threw it in the bin very quickly.

Did you mean to buy the Daily Sport?

It’s a less embarrassing choice than the Sun for sure.

Some world class cuntery from the land of the free.

I might have said it here before but I’m convinced that one of the big reasons that the public health information is so poor on covid is because the main thing that’s going to make workplaces safe is expensive ventilation installs/ overhauls, and if they start educating people on what the main risks indoors actually are, rather than preaching largely futile distancing and handwashing, that they’ll be condemning their big business mates to huge bills in order to actually protect workers.

The mantra when I did potentially dangerous work requiring risk assessments was that PPE should be a last resort to mitigate residual risk after all other non-PPE measures are taken. I think vaccines should be viewed as analogous to PPE here- same rationale…vaccines ‘fail’ (95% efficacy means 1:20 people are not protected, and perhaps wear off at a variable rate). You don’t want your respirator to fail in a room thick with toxic gas because fuck all else was done to protect you than stick a mask on you.

Just had a call from the NHS vaccinations team.
I got quite excited until I realised it was all about the flu vaccine (which I have already had)

Excited about being considered in the very highest risk group

I’m hoping to get the jab a.s.a.p. I’ve been either ill or shielding for the entirety of 2020. Any sort of protection arising from vaccination will be very welcome indeed.

Fingers crossed mate :crossed_fingers:t2:

Hopefully we’ll see the Oxford vaccine approved soon as that appears to offer the greatest potential for speedy roll out at scale and mass vaccination.
