How do you feel? (Part 1)

We don’ neeed no steenkin’ esperts.

Could make a good line for a prog track. ‘All in all you were just nails in the coffin’. Cut to guitar solo for 10 mins. Surprised nobody’s used it before…

If anyone is forced to write a CV, under qualifications “Too many to put here” is the correct answer

You wouldn’t know my qualifications, I got them from a different school.

We’ve decided not to see any of the kids’ grandparents this Xmas. I’m part sad, part angry - if we could travel just before new year then we would have enough time to isolate, but the requirement to be back by the 28th, just 10 days after school finishes, doesn’t leave enough time.

Ultimately it boils down to what would happen in the ultimate downside. If a child gets asymptomatic Covid then infects one of us, we won’t be symptomatic when we travel. Three of the four grandparents would probably die if they caught it, they’re vulnerable. What do you say to a child if an action that you as a family took results in the death of a loved one? You run the risk of traumatising them for many years.

I know that Covid isn’t the government’s fault, but their shocking mismanagement of the situation seems to make everything worse. We now have to explain to our parents that despite the rules allowing us to see them, we’re choosing not to. For the sake of their lives, and my kids’ mental health.

The answer was fairly straightforward for Xmas - shut the schools early enough to allow isolation before visits and delay opening to allow it after the visit

Public schools apparently DO close early enough before Xmas… make of that what you will

Again, this is rule making that encourages non-compliance and hence, it will be our fault come the January surge

Cunts

Also guessing horrendous travel issues on 23rd as everyone setting off on the first day of the Xmas Bubble…

lucky for us there are none of those in Suffolk!

And let us hope that our currently low infection rates don’t suffer a massive spike caused by the visitors and tourists…

A disease that moves via person contact - let’s encourage everyone to move around the country for a few days, whilst it’s cold and at its most infectious

And car charging issues, I imagine!
