Parents council asking for views on closing the schools early on the 18th. It might give people “more confidence to see family” said as though this is a good thing…isn’t that the danger?!
Even if it’s not claimed I’m pretty sure that’s how many people are going to interpret it and I’ve not seen anything to suggest that 7 days is sufficient. Seems more likely that people will think that they’re safer than they are and behave accordingly.
Essentially having an inset day that day means that heads won’t have to be doing track and trace on Christmas Day.
Wife’s school has said that they won’t be closing early. Silly buggers.
Found out today that people with a track record of allergic reaction shouldn’t be given the Pfizer vaccine as there have been a couple of very severe responses.
Given that I’ve ended up in A&E at two in the morning after collapsing after inadvertently eating something with Sesame in, I’ll have to wait for one of the other vaccines and hope it doesn’t have similar issues.

So London has the highest rate in the country. But let’s wait until it’s too late ( the 19th of Dec ) to do anything about moving it into tier 3. And a few days later, between 23 to 28, Londoners can head out to lick door handles for 5 days. What a kick in the nuts to those in the North.
