How do you slice your toast and do you have marmalade on it?

I’m just going to delete all the other threads, I think. This one rocks.

Not sure if I should be openly admitting this on here…

…but I have the single and album

If toasters could choose their owners, I wonder which type we would each end up with ?

We have a 6 slice one, functions much like a Dualit, easily replaceable elements etc.

Good point, which you beat me to making. Short slot toasters limit the repertoire.

With a long slot, the possibilities of pitta bread and slabs of Sainsbury’s pavĆ©s are go.

As for the original question, 2 and 1 are acceptable, with 2 being my default.

But 3 is plain RONG! Would you make sandwiches with that cut? Then don’t do it to your toast either!!

Current marmalade, usually with some cheese.

267 post and not one person has mentioned the crust being the best slice to toast.

Really, you lot…

Somebody should make and sell a loaf of crusts. I like them.

And whilst we’re at it, brown bread for toast is a no no. Only THICK white bread will do.

Merge the boards.

I am more into toast than coffee. And no, the conveyor belt of anticipation is evil and must be stopped. It never ceases to disappoint. It is slow, ineffectual and always either burns (twice through) or just warms (once through) your bread.

Disappointed that the stalwart of 70’s bread based shenanigans, Breville, have not had so much as a look in so far. :frowning:

And always WITHOUT FAIL causes a clusterfuck in the breakfasting buffet bar as it jams. Every old man within about a 5 meter radius has to have a go at pokiƱg it with something…resulting in one of two outcomes.

  1. Someone’s Nan manages to get it going and then proceeds to take orders and do everyone’s toast for them. Extremely fucking slowly.

  2. The fucker ends up aflame.

The toaster…not the Nan.

Good job. More Magimix exclusivity for me.
