A bit of help please…
ID required for the TT, arm and cart.
Thanks
Looks like a Voyd turntable with a Helius orion arm.
My guess too.
VTA looks high.
Enjoy your ban.
Looks like a Valdi?
Can’t comment on cartridge, as it’s hard to see in that pic.
Looks like a 2 motor Voyd Valdi tt, with onboard psu and Helius Orion tonearm
Bit of a classic combo
Buy it
It’s a Toshiba DVD player HTH
It would be hard to imagine a series of pics that make this trickier short of shooting the fucking thing from the underside but it might be a Grado Gold.
Thanks all. Thought the cart might be a bit tricky.
I’m not buying, but a friend may be and he hasn’t a clue what to pay the seller
as little as he is able to negotiate?
prices are all over the place, last one on hififorsale was listed for £550 with a Rega 300
What is that “residue” by the bearing spindle?
Was the platter broken and bodged?
I’d definitely be putting that into consideration when deciding on a price.
I used to have one of these, lovely little deck.
JB - that’s the 3 motor deck (like mine).
The Valdi is the 2 motor “little brother”.
They all look the same to me
That’s a very early one from the first 100 or so. I’d have assembled it!
I sold my the voyd with Helius Orion mk3 for £1500 around 10 years ago
Cosmetically, It’s had a tough paper round - like anything of that age (+ apparent tough innings) a service at best will be required - parts at worst, time is a certainty.
These things affect price gravely. Cart is an unknown, arm bearings, tt motor, main bearing, lids swirled, the early AM yellow stripe phono cable is a fickle mistress. etc etc. If buying blind, I wouldn’t go past £450 here.
If this sounds low ball, add up the potential headaches and time and see how far towards top whack you get total.
Agreed. There’s also a BP300b SE plus a few other bits. I’ve seen pictures and all the kit looks in the same condition.
Plus 1k classical records which he doesn’t want
