I think you might be right. Seems a little out of place alongside the Gryphons tbh.
Bit odd considering the bass tower only runs below 50hz and is active.

Well I get that, but given the rel doesn’t go any lower or louder it’s not going to be bringing much to the party.
Given that he has just taken delivery of the speakers, then it’s probably not used any more. The only thing I can think of. Rel is going to be a step down from the bass towers anyway in any terms.
Probably, though I prefer big drivers over lots of small ones in general.
