Ballsy
I like the lone super tweeter on its own pedestal
Get yourself down to That London over the bank holiday weekend if you want to see some proper DIY horn loaded sound systems with fairly individual approaches to design.
Lovely thumb crimp and nice floral sofa edging, it is the Cotswolds WI of horn speakers.
Russian oligarch/Trump hotel chic
Pretty sure thatâs the ugliest speaker Iâve ever seen

Insufficiently insane?

isnât that a Dartzeel amp? Dont they have a âpleasure controlâ instead of a volume knob?
Fucking beautiful!
They were in Cyprus. 6 Moons wrote them up about 10 years ago. Some very nice drivers but the implementation (and integration) was allegedly something of a dogâs breakfast.
" After 14 years of work, our book âHigh-Quality Horn Loudspeaker Systemsâ is finally going to print as of today. Bjørn Kolbrek and I are both a bit exhausted after the past months of getting all the final details overseen. The final page count comes to 1070 pages."
âThe history part is also a âprimerâ for the theory part (about 400 pages) which progressively gets more demanding as it covers advances in the theory over a century up to the present. Finally the 200 or so last pages are more practically oriented and cover systems, crossovers, horns, drivers, measurements etc.â
Looks good, any ETFâer grab a few copies?
This is actually an interesting new review of an old design.

I chatted with someone who heard them and it was a bit of an expensive failure unfortunately, quite a few industry experts tried to sort them bit couldnât.
Iâve heard older samples a few times now & like the idea but the bass horn folding always seems to have caused âconstipationâ at certain frequencies and the mid driver & horn have been a bit untidy sounding. I was hoping this latest version might have successfully addressed some of that.
I still wonder whether a workable 2 way could be put together with something like these doing the LF
and then a larger mid horn LeCleach combined with a wide ranging driver (maybe that new Celestion)
Itâs interesting that the new Klipsch horns are 3-way - I thought that they were usually 2-way. Iâve always liked the immediacy and dynamics but found them a bit too coloured for my taste.
I donât recall any two way speakers in the heritage range.
Thatâs because there arenât any. No new designs either unless itâs the rehash of the Forte that is being referred to.
Iâve always fancied a single corner horn for the living room. Nice mono setup.
Youâve come to the right place - @coco, mono-horn him
Prefer the originals of course but these look nice for bluetooth speakers.
