They were saying this morning that they have been stalling so that Netanyahu can approve it just as Trump comes into office as his gift to the orange shitlord.
That way when the shooting starts again (given the region’s history, I fear it’s ‘when’ rather than ‘if’) Trump will be left holding the bouquet as it turns to shit.
Yeah enough rope etc, sadly this type of ploy applies to voters interested in fact. - If he can get a pass on ‘grabbing em by the pussy’ and being a convicted fraudster, few will blame him for what those: ‘double crossin’ A-rabs’ do.

Prime seafront real estate is worth much more than hostages (and while there’s fighting nobody will look at him)
He’ll claim peace and there will be war. He’ll either be a knave (he was smart enough to know war was coming, but it suited him to lie) or a fool (fool enough not to tie the A-rabs down hard enough). As you say, his base is detached from reality. But at least he won’t be able to blame the Democrats for the mess, which he sure as hell would have done if he’d inherited ‘their’ deal.
Sure, sadly for now he’s a ‘winner’. The ‘optics’ reinforce the ‘strong, dynamic and capable’ twaddle he’s been pumping all along (Shot in the ear - Hero, peace in the midle east - Hero, freeing hostages - Hero…). On the upside no one in the UK will need a hairdryer with the amount of hot air blasting across the pond for the next x4 years.

And just as the news conference ended, the president was asked who should take credit for the deal – him or Trump. Biden turned back and said “is that a joke?” before walking away.
Trump, meanwhile, said on Truth Social that the “epic” agreement was only possible because he won November’s presidential election.

BBC News have been doing that throughout, most often saying people have been killed but rarely making it clear who actually did the killing.
Yes, the persistent inconsistency of passive vs active voice and the language they use to describe children is quite jarring.

Had a small expectation this was going to be shut down by the right wing nutters.
Get the ceasefire in and they can start rebuilding the hospitals, Israel had better be paying for the work, if they go out to the rest of the world expecting the rest of us to pick up the bill for all the destruction they have done I hope there is a collective threat of sanctions until they cough up.
