I nearly bought a pair of the elliptical horns from him. The bass horn boxes on that pair of speakers look very nice!

Think if it was my money,I’d try and do a road trip and listen to some of the speakers people own on here. Not very practical,but better than a big lump of cash mistake

AER do make a sub but the ones Kedar heard didn’t use them. He ranked them in the top 3 rooms in the world in his review blog which seems to be down at the moment.

Haven’t had opportunity but assuming they are at least as good if not better than Duo XD then they should be of interest. Definitely worth listening for yourself and see if they suit your ears.

No idea if these are good,if they fill a large room,if it’s a good price.
Only heard an early pair very briefly in a tiny hotel room.

Thanks Stu - they would be worth a try out if local, but not near enough and the looks might not be quite right for Jo - I’ll have a listen at some point to different Avantgardes as they are appealing.

The 845 Nagra VPAs really brought the Blumenhofers to life big time so I’ve even thought about going up the Blumenhofer range :anguished_face:
