I nearly bought a pair of the elliptical horns from him. The bass horn boxes on that pair of speakers look very nice!
he’s keeping them thankfully
Think if it was my money,I’d try and do a road trip and listen to some of the speakers people own on here. Not very practical, but better than a big lump of cash mistake
Horn map of the UK
Bonzo is your man.
He has probably done them all.
Bonzo75 on whatsbest forum
You may remember him from his youtube videos.
May well say Pnoe.
Did people in general use subs with them,or do they go quite low?
AER do make a sub but the ones Kedar heard didn’t use them. He ranked them in the top 3 rooms in the world in his review blog which seems to be down at the moment.
It’s only an hour from Calais so a nice little jolly over with a van and no import duties
Well you did say room filling but maybe not like this…
Haven’t heard the Duo GTs - any good?
Good shout Stu - I’m pretty full on with work most of the time but let’s just say I’ve had few offers so I’ll try and find some time for a few trips.
Haven’t had opportunity but assuming they are at least as good if not better than Duo XD then they should be of interest. Definitely worth listening for yourself and see if they suit your ears.
Probably best to just hire a van and go to Ritchie’s
Lovely looking room
Well, they are easy to drive
As long as you have five amps.
I had a map like that in my early 20’s…… oh wait, wrong horn
No idea if these are good,if they fill a large room,if it’s a good price.
Only heard an early pair very briefly in a tiny hotel room.
These are for sale locally to me
Thanks Stu - they would be worth a try out if local, but not near enough and the looks might not be quite right for Jo - I’ll have a listen at some point to different Avantgardes as they are appealing.
The 845 Nagra VPAs really brought the Blumenhofers to life big time so I’ve even thought about going up the Blumenhofer range
