Yes, I watched that. Good to see the research debunk some of it.

Watched that
It seems thst the old adage ‘If you can remember the 60s , you weren’t there’ rings true!

Watched that too. Would pay to punch Philip Mould.

Especially when he links himself to John Lennon by claiming Scouser roots in a very English public school accent, and who wears trainers with a suit.

PM needs to be matched in a louche-off with Bill Nighy.

I like the program but have to continually fight a personal dislike for Fiona Bruce (Campaigned against pornography at University) and Philip Mould who’s grandiosity and general plastic superiority fall well short of golden god tier standard:

Bill to win every time.
He has decent musical taste and has hosted shows on BBC 6 Music.
He also has an excellent tailor

He’s the hairy handed gent who ran amok in Kent
Lately he’s been overheard in Mayfair
You better stay away from him, he’ll rip your lungs out Jim
Huh, I’d like to meet his tailor

Bill is one of the cohort of excellent actors who spent time at Liverpool Everyman. Maybe Scouse Phil clocked him there?

This is a great article by Elton John

Bands I’d of liked to have seen pt4

3 piece band from the embers of levitation in the early 90s. Got to know the drummer a bit in 98 and caught up with him a few weeks ago.

The first album was released in 99 and did ok,sadly they didn’t get support off the label for the 2nd album as record companies were now chasing Coldplay type acts. They did release the 2nd album as a download in 2023

Really like the track lies at 19min 50secs.

This was recorded for Scottish tv in the late 90s
