Live Music Performances, interviews & Documentaries

Having been panned by the press for her first LP Vashti Bunyan took to the road, this short interview is revealing in terms of what hapened next, particularly her realization ‘she has to live in this world not the one she wishes it should be’. I have a great deal of time for genuine hippies (Ie those that effectively live creatively with integrrity and ideals…most don’t) She is one of those strong fragile people with a big heart

Good read Matt @BoogerBenson

Nice one. I’ll have a read of that.
Regret selling their Paradise Don’t Come Cheap LP during a skint period.

Two tremendous albums not a bad legacy for them.

I’d rather not think about all the albums I’ve lost over the years.

This was on telly last night, really interesting and it’s going to send me down an Alan Hull/Lindisfarne hole

I watched that. It was an excellent documentary but the music is not for me I am afraid.

Funnily enough I played Pipedream the other day for the first time in a very long while.
Alan Hull’s book of poetry The Mocking Horse, written when he was a mental health nurse had a very small print run and is very rare. It goes for stupid money if it ever comes up for sale.

Thanks for the post, I will defo watch that

Gonna enjoy this today:

Watched it last night. Very enjoyable.
Bit of a shock to realise it is 20 years since Alan Hull died.
