Such a great film. Funny I was just listening to her live version of Woodstock on her ‘Miles Of Aisles’ LP… It’s got a funk to it which perhaps makes you want to move a little more than the original.

It’s strange looking at it as we were on holiday just a stones throw away. All I remember was the massive amount of fencing going round it all. Oh to have been a bit older

Did over 65s get in free then?

For the next four Sundays Clive Carroll will be doing a live Youtube recital at 8pm. Expect mostly acoustic guitar with other instruments making appearances. an excellent musician.

He toured a lot with John Renbourn and has produced an album of Renbourn’s tunes and songs, The Abbot.

This Neil Young?

Good, glad he is playing but there is many a slip between cup and lip!
Plenty of time for NY to change his mind (and back again ) before Glasto!

Klooks Kleek was in Hampstead right next to Decca - The club morphed from Jazzer paradise crossing over to a significant hub for the emerging British R&B scene (along with the Flamingo) - The live at Klooks Kleek recordings were done by running a cable out the window to Decca next door. If you were a Mod through to a psychedilic psyconaught in the later 60’s Klooks Kleek was a red hot spot.

Never heard of it.

Have this somewhere if you fancy a deeper dive

Nice :+1:

Guessing capacity was pretty small?
Used to see Morrissey Mullen quite regularly at the clay pigeon pub which had a hall attached for bands/dancing in the early 80s.

How many did the van dike hold?

Have this one, it’s one of the best ‘live’ (Not so live thanks to the bastard long cable to the Decca studios next door) recordings of UK Mod R&B.
