Good to see Des out again too, if in a wheelchair. All the best.
Thanks Guys ! Yes I’d decide to make it to the Show as a visitor ,I have hopefully put my medication troubles behind me and I’m just about back to my normal self …I took my van and stayed in the side of hotel car park for the night …It was good to meet old friends and hear the various systems on show …It did bring it on home to me after so many faces I bumped into all enquired on how I was etc and how well I was looking that this hobby has fortunately given me so many wonderful people as real good mates/ friends …I’d like again to thank you all for your kind comments etc ,it has been great therapy and god willing its me back to Lopwell and Settle next year Bestest as always Micky
My setup on Sunday:
Jay’s Audio CDT2-MK3 CD Transport
Rabski-built AD1865 NOS/Valve DAC
Crayon CIA-1t Integrated Amplifier
Penaudio Cenya Speakers and Solid Steel SS-6 Stands
For that to be completed by now you must’ve ordered it before CD was even a format. Very prescient
Once again I thoroughly enjoyed my long weekend as an exhibitor, despite the 240 mile drive and recovering from the lurgey. Managed to fit in plenty of pisstaking and beer drinking inbetween evicting dockyard oysters that had taken up residence in my chest.
The show was far busier than last year, and had a much better vibe on the Sunday.
The final total handed to the Barnsley Hospice was £8,426.71
So a BIG thankyou to all who attended and put their hands in their pockets.
Roll on next year, though rather foolishly ive promised to take the singing fridges, conference room it is then.
The 2025 show date has just been announced on the Mav.
Sunday 26th October.
Once again its at the Holiday Inn Dodworth (Barnsley).
Another delight for Barnsley visitors. Maybe a team entry?
