These are one of the Kai types. Modern. They are razor sharp, but perhaos slightly more fragile than the Wiss. I have some of course…

Except technically veg rather than meat.

I have some regular Kai scissors, love them.

I have to admit that I already knew of the existence of that, but it cropped up on various social media because of the architecture rather than the clothing.

Looking for a new autumn/spring jacket. Currently have a Gant coat that I’ve had for about 20 years! It’s fraying on the cuffs and lining is disintegrating a bit, so looking at replacements.

Yay or nay

I am not a fashion advisor but with the shearling I’d buy three layers from Finisterre and drink the other Ā£500.

With the Gant I’d buy a Barbour.

Not overly keen on the suede offering but I do like the Gant coat*

*Probably best not to take notice of me, I wear a Barbour.

In hindsight, and I’m not being funny, but I think a key differentiator might be a car.

The shearling is a beautiful thing but I do a lot of stomping around in shitty weather. It would need to be a predictably dry day before put it on.

I’ve never had one so I don’t know how practical they are. I spent a good amount of time outdoors too, so possibly not the best idea? Seems mad to say for a coat, mind

I had a beautiful shearling which cost a stupid amount of money even in the sale from one of the attempts to reboot the Swaine Adeney Briggs name.

It was always a bit big (fine because sale) but by the time covid was done it was all over me :sob:

Super toasty on a crisp winter’s day but I wouldn’t have wanted to get it wet.

Autumn & Spring meaning waterproofish / non bulky?

Currently in the sale:

Too busy?

For your hunting and field work needs

Sheerling jackets can be a faff to keep, they will be treated but upkeep is a thing as is staining if you are a mucky pup.

Full hipster with a long sleeve T, gilet or whatever, Jacksnipe

I’ve been tempted by one of these…

Problem is it will be useless in Straya

Problem solved lads :ok_hand:

I like that.

Every time they ā€œdropā€ a Jacksnipe it sells out very quickly.

It doesn’t suit my body shape which is a good thing.

Am I right in thinking is this will be the jacket of choice for dog walking duties? If so, I’d suggest sticking to something relatively thing, so that it’s still a valid choice to wear even if you have to go out in a summer shower without overheating. You can always add additional layers underneath in winter if it gets super cold.

I have a Jacksnipe. Love it, especially the pockets. The A line cut may not be for all though and it’s not warm enough for a winter coat. I’m a big fan of Hebtroco’s clothes and jeans.
