Indeed.

Thoughtful, practical design, premium materials and not made by children in China. They’ve got a good story.

I’m wearing a Mynydd denim overshirt right now. This time a denim shirt that really is denim

One bonus for me about Hebtroco is that I am exactly the same weight and height as Ed, one of the co-founders. So if I want to buy anything, I just check what size Ed is wearing in the pictures and then order the same size.

I like Howies, they started in Wales just making (good) jeans but now do loads of other clothes.

Don’t need any more jackets but…

The shearling looks like you’re anticipating pretty cold weather on the terraces . Not sure how comfortable that would be when it isn’t absolutely freezing cold?

Like Guy I’d go for a Barbour over the Gant - there’s a choice of fit and styles, and you can add zip on inners etc for when it’s colder, and some have studs for removable hoods.

I like Barbour and I’ve had mine for 25yrs now but it’s a mare in the freezing cold.

I have a beautiful shearling coat, only comes out in the coldest weather! Its too hot to waer at any other time. It has got a protective treatment on it, but still seems to mark in the rain.

I don’t think there is one coat to rule them all, but the one that I wear the most is a Barbour International, MOD issue. 20+ years old, has recieved a beating, and now looks fantastic. I bought it big enough that I could get layers on underneath it. Loads of pockets, and they are cut for movement, so actually very comfortable. An investment imv.

And its not that long a drive to their factory shop where they have plenty of styles and fit. Between the different styles the sizing can be different so worth trying on. I’ve got a Barbour international s McQueen that I bought 20 off years ago that has the detachable body warmer that I’ve been keeping for my lad as there is no way I’ve been able to fit it in the last 10 years. Loved it but wish I’d taken Richie’s advice and bought at least another size bigger

Yes, I am filling mine a bit more that I used to! I have a couple of Belstaffs too but they are a bit too small. I have already given my lad a load of my clothes, but I haven’t quite given up on these, yet.

I’d like one of those for dog walks

This is what I have. Mine was new when I got it ( I think i paid £50 for it.), but is more worn than this one. Loads of life left in this, they last forever and look better and better as they age.

This says it is black.

I chose a Bedale (modern) because it was reasonably slim but allowed more layering underneath than say an Ashby, had the zips and studs to add liner and hood, and had the ‘t-rex lined pockets’ which are a godsend when you’ve forgotten your gloves!

Mine is navy blue and only a few years old so sadly it still looks immaculate :slightly_frowning_face: On the plus side it will probably see me out.

I have the Beaufort jacket

You can buy a lining and a hood. It has T Rex pockets and a poachers pocket across the back.

They are £300 now! Bought mine 5 years ago for £170 which was quite a discount even then , from a retailer who has now gone bust!

That’s what I’ve got but ‘modern’…I bought mine 25yrs ago

I’ve had a few repairs done and the length of the jacket and sleeves increased recently.

I lost my 18 year old one :frowning: but bought another a couple of months ago. It’s going to take a while for it to develop that worn look.

Honestly, I’m already taking notes of what everyone here buys…so that I can avoid them.

Also, 20 year burn-in? 'kin hell.
