There are no words to describe the full on wanker look that is conveyed in that single picture.

Just about does it

If only someone could invent a woollen material you could put your feet into

If Seaborne weren’t so busy I’d be giving them Ā£13M to look into it.

Before my lad goes and buys some complete arse of a suit based on my advice, which off the peg brands do you guys recommend? I’s a business suit so dark blue or grey no doubt. I will take him to a Magee stockists so he can see what a half decent ā€œEnglishā€ cut suit feels like, but I suspect he will be looking for something that ticks the ā€œfashionā€ box.

His head is currently at Ted Baker, either I’m just an old fart or he really can do better.

Any thoughts?

Personally I think Ted Baker is awful, tasteless and badly made. I honestly think that Reiss are hard to beat for something modern looking and good value. Paul Smith and Dunhill are expensive for what they are. Gieves and Hawkes might offer something posher/more grown up that isn’t ā€˜old.’

Cheers Ritchie.

My lad has seen your vid and being suitably impressed I will show him your comments re TB, hopefully he’ll take the hint. Reiss would be good, they have a shop in Manchester and I can get him to try a GH and PS suit on in Selfridges at the same time.:ok_hand:

Also steer him towards something that will match his looks, so careful if he’s set his sights on a black/ very dark suit.

I’ve lost count the number of people I’ve worked with who look fucking terrible in black but for some insist on wearing it because they’ve read somewhere that it signifies power/ authority

If he’s got the look to pull it off then no probs.

Try Slaters in Manchester, they are geneerally pretty good and cheap, will alter etc… I got some nice suits from there at reasonable prices, not made to measure quality, but look good.

The Jaeger outlet stores are very good. You can often pick up a nice suit for £100, having been reduced from £350. They are normally 100% wool and the cut is decent being Jaeger. They do a slim or regular fit, stcok varies week to week. You can also buy from their non outlet website which itself always had a sale.

Not Waywards standards of course but for the money pretty unbeatable. Slaters is good but more expensive.

The last suit jacket I bought in M&S turned out to be utterly shit. I should have looked more closely at it before handing over the money.

Just sayin’

Unfortunately for me, he is a handsome bastard, not being of my loin I should point out.

Buy him a pack of black bin bags
